Our Story

At Bloom & Balance Clinic, we provide comprehensive, integrative care for women and children—offering supportive, evidence-based services that honor the whole person and the natural design of the body. Our approach bridges medicine, education, and restorative therapies to guide women and families through important stages of life.

Founded by Dr. Kathleen Stenlund, DO, IBCLC, Bloom & Balance was created to close the gap in care that often exists between mothers, babies, and families. While pediatrics focuses on the child and OB/GYN care centers on the mother, many families are left without cohesive support during key transitions like postpartum. Our clinic brings these worlds together—recognizing how deeply maternal, infant, and family health are connected.

Our women’s health services also include medical consultation and education in Natural Family Planning (NFP) using the Creighton Model and Marquette Method, as well as targeted evaluation and treatment for hormonal concerns such as PMS, PMDD, postpartum mood changes, and fertility-related issues. These evidence-based approaches empower women to understand their cycles, address underlying hormonal imbalances, and make informed decisions about their health and family planning.

We also specialize in lactation medicine and musculoskeletal rehabilitation, integrating osteopathic manipulation and individualized, hands-on care to support recovery, relieve pain, and restore function. Our model is designed not to replace the essential care provided by pediatricians or OB/GYNs, but to complement them—filling the space where traditional scopes of practice often don’t overlap.

Whether you’re navigating fertility, recovering after childbirth, managing hormonal or mood concerns, supporting your baby’s feeding, or seeking relief from musculoskeletal pain, Bloom & Balance Clinic is here to meet you where you are.

Our mission is simple: to provide thoughtful, integrative, care that supports women’s health, strengthens the bond between families, and helps both move, heal, and thrive.

Why a Pomegranate?

The pomegranate has carried meaning across cultures and faiths for centuries. In the Christian tradition, it symbolizes resurrection, eternal life, and the abundance of grace—many seeds held within one fruit, united in wholeness. More broadly, it has long represented fertility, renewal, and the promise of new beginnings.

Fruit itself is the visible result of things going right—roots drawing nourishment, blossoms receiving care, time and patience allowing growth. In the same way, thriving mothers, babies, and families are the result of support, guidance, and healing along the way.

At Bloom and Balance Clinic, the pomegranate reflects our vision: wholeness, growth, and the flourishing that comes when care is connected and complete. Each seed carries the potential for life and renewal, just as each family carries the possibility of strength, resilience, and balance.
